many people new to yoga prefer to take a few private sessions to get comfortable with the routine of a yoga class and to learn some of the poses before attending a general session. while general yoga classes have enormous benefits, private sessions, allow you to develop a personal practice taking into consideration your level of flexibility, fitness, strength, injuries and ailments as well as level of experience.

a few steps to help you get started:
• do not eat 2-3 hours before your class and try to
hydrate yourself by drinking plenty of water before class.
arrive 15 minutes before the class starts - to register,
change and settle down.
• introduce yourself to the teacher before class begins.
please let the teacher know about any health concerns you might have.
• ask questions before and after class to better understand
the practice. we all have different questions, so ask yours.
try to create a relationship with your teachers so they
can help you.
• practice regularly to get the best results. after
taking our 101 beginner workshop, two to three times
a week will create real change fast.
